CHROMALOX INTRODUCES THE NEWEST ADVANCED POWER CONTROLLERS: MODELS C4 AND C4-IR – MULTI-LOOP SCR WITH INTEGRATED PID CONTROL
PITTSBURGH, PA, USA – August 1, 2018 – Chromalox, a leader in advanced thermal technologies, today announced the availability of the newest advanced power controllers. The Chromalox C4 and C4-IR controllers are a compact and well featured microprocessor-based SCR that is designed to efficiently manage all types of industrial heater loads from 16 to 40 Amps within a voltage range of 100 - 480 Vac. Powerful system parameter diagnostics, multiple firing mode options, control mode versatility, and on-board Fieldbus communications are a few of the advanced features which significantly enhance process integrity.
In addition to their fully functional power switching, the C4 and C4-IR have integrated PID control on each of the four loops. The versatility of these controllers continues by allowing multiple combinations of load types between the 4 loops. This permits four single phase loads, two three phase two leg loads, one three phase three leg load with an additional single phase load, or any combination thereof.
The C4 and C4-IR features the powerful and comprehensive C-PWR configuration software, which allows you to clone multiple controllers, run simulations, and read or write device parameters quickly and easily. Configurations may be saved locally for later retrieval or sent across a network. This significantly reduces both programming mistakes and system setup time
